In the mood for cooking I sure don’t spend much time cooking at all, but this autumny and cosy evening I’d like to cook this following casserole.

The Heavenly Casserole

4 servings

Ingredients
600 grams fillet of pork
3oo grams bacon
1 red onion
2 deciliter crème fraiche
3 deciliter double cream
Half of a stock cube
2-3 tbs soy
2 tsp tomato purée
1.5 tbs sambal oelek
Season with salt and black pepper
Flour for thickening
Butter
Water

Preparation
Shred the fillet and cut the bacon in thin bits. Chop the red onion finely.

Fry the fillet in butter and transfer to a plate when done.

Then fry the bacon and finally the onion in the bacon grease.

Mix all together in the pan and sprinkle a little bit of flour over the mix – stir.

Add all the remaining ingredients and season with salt and pepper, stir.

Finally allow the casserole to simmer for a while.

Serve with penne rigate and a salad.

Today when I entered my apartment, both my cats were waiting for me in the hallway – without fighting!

At that point Juku saw the opportunity and approached Chip. Suddenly I saw them, nose against nose – sniff at each other. Curiously, not aggressively!

Then Chip snapped out of it and had to show he sure as hell aint no softy He hissed at Juku, put his nose up in the air and left.

Progress, me so happy!

Bling it with Mario

As I’m not feeling too well, I yesterday played with perler beeds and made a couple of Mario characters. Didn’t have any energy to do anything sensible, but there’s always a little bit of energy left over for play

So where to put them? Well, still feeling ill today with sore throat and tired body I lazily simply stuck them outside the doorway to the building where I live ;-p

Chip keeps track of time

I have an alarm set at 05:30 in the mornings and my cats sure have gotten used to that routine. About five minutes before, both jump up in my bed and do their damndest to get me up and to give them food. Then about 06:15 it’s time for me to give Chip his insuline.

I have the same routine 12 hours later (but am not in bed at that time ). And here’s Chip – time is 17:26 and he’s staring at me saying something like “Hey isn’t it time for food woman?”

It’s Caturday!

We have excellent weather here in Stockholm and I got an incredible energy boost and have been cleaning my apartment, doing the laundry (finally!) and so on.

Now I’m on a break, enjoying myself on the balcony, giggling at my two boys who quite not yet have become friends. You can see Chip on the bottom floor, keeping and eye on Juku up in the penthouse.

I hope you’re enjoying an excellent weekend!

I downloaded Wordfeud yesterday and tried out the free version by playing with random people. But most of them were obviously cheating and I quickly got bored. But then I checked in Facebook if any of my friends played and there sure was a few.

With no cheating Wordfeud is really fun! I like it how there’s no rush, I’m currently involved in four Wordfeuds ongoing since yesterday.

I’ve upgraded Wordfeud to the premium version now and it’s a bliss getting rid of the ads.

And I’m totally hooked So if you like Wordfeud, like to use your own brain and dislike cheating – invite me for a game sure! I can play both in Swedish and English and my user name is: almafication

I decided that tomorrow morning at 7 I’m supposed to do the laundry. My apartment needs a good cleaning and I need to do the dishes. And then I thought I’ll do something fun, like visiting an autumn fair.

I’ve actually thought about this plan all week… “I have to do the laundry. I have to clean the apartment. I have to do something fun.”

I fell asleep around 9 pm Friday evening, and of course woke up only a few hours later. So here I am, time is now 2:16 am Saturday morning, and I just know I will not do the laundry. I’ll find some excellent excuse not to do what I’m supposed to do.

Why am I like this? Am I simply a lazy shite?

The alarm clock will wake me up at 5:50 am, as Chip needs to eat before I give him his insuline shot at 6:25. I’m hoping to prove myself wrong and to show a little bit of self discipline and actually DO the damn laundry. Heck, to even do some housework

Return to Eden

Almost 30 years later the tv series “Return to Eden” is back on Swedish television. It’s broadcasted on TV4 Guld and we can enjoy the first episode at 21:45. I’m really looking forward to it and wonder if I’ll find it as capturing as I did for oh so long ago? We’ll see

Joao Silva’s story

I certainly cannot read any great masses of text, I’m sadly far too restless now a days to be able to focus on such activities.

But, when I started to read Joao’s story I couldn’t stop reading. It was heartbreaking and it sure did put matters in proportions. And as usual I found myself sittin’ there on the commuter train and crying (but secret-cryin’ you know).

Joao is a photo journalist at New York Times and as he stepped on a land mine i Afghanistan he lost both his legs.
